2-Day Tours to Vilnius & Trakai (dates upon Your choice)
Day 1: Arrival to Vilnius (Lithuania), meetup with a tour guide, a quick ride on the Mount of Three Crosses, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city, then Peter and Paul Church, the cemetery at Rosie (where the heart of Pilsudski rests) Gates of Dawn – symbol of the city – the only remaining gate from the medieval walls of Vilnius. In the chapel – the image of the Virgin Mary, a religious symbol of Lithuania, the church and monastery of St. Spirit, where there are 3 bodies of Christian martyrs executed by the Grand Duke of Lithuania Algirdas, Church of Sts. Anna, the museum Mickiewicz, Vilnius Cathedral, with the relics of St. Casimir and the royal tombs of Barbara Radziwiłł, Queen of Poland and Grand duchess of Lithuania as well as St. Casimir Jagiellon, Vilnius University. Leisure time, dinner at the hotel Europolis or gala dinner at the restaurant with live music performed either by one or many with the melody of Polish folk songs. Going back to the hotel for the night.
Day 2: Breakfast at the hotel then drive to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, located on conjoined lakes and a castle in the middle of the island. Visit at the castle of Vytautas and Kęstutis, after that a city walk which is inhabited by native lithuanian Karaites, an inn, cemetery, a parish church that goes back to the year of 1409. It is possible to have a Karaites national dish, 2 Kibinai (a traditional pastry filled with mutton and onion) with broth on ships or yachts sailing on the lake of Galve around the castle on a island. For relaxation, you can visit Trasalis (Resort & Spa), bowling alley, billiard tables, health clinics with massages and saunas. Dinner.
A 4-Day Theme Tour “Following the footsteps of Henryk Sienkiewicz”.
Day 1: Morning arrival to Kėdainiai, a charming town on the Untied – visiting Calvinist church crypts with founders of the Radziwill, once called the Old Market Square with the team of Jewish synagogues, the Great Market Square with the town hall, then a walk through the street with the former Great Carmelite monastery and school of Calvinist founded by Radziwill family also known as the gymnasium of the Enlightenment.
Drive through the noble backwaters that were described in the novel “The Deluge” by H. Sienkiewicz.
A quick stop at the city of Šeteniai, the birthplace of Czeslaw Milosz. 2011 was the year of hundredth anniversary of the birth essayist, poet, Nobel Prize winner. Along the way, the church St. Peter and Paul, where his parents Aleksander Milosz and Veronica Kunatówna got married, also a place where Czeslaw Milosz was christened. Surroundings of Šeteniai and Nevėžis were reflected in the Valley of Issa. Short break. (If the group is interested, a lecture on the Czeslaw Milosz Cultural Centre in the former outbuilding of the manor is possible).
A Travel to Biržai. Visiting the former Polish magnate residence located above the rivers of Agluona and Apaščia and lake Širvėna. Visiting Radziewiłłów fortified castle, mansion of Nicholas Christopher Radziwill also know as “Lightning”. (It is possible to visit the museum of beer 15 km away from the city in the eighteenth century manor house in Butow, with a chance of tasting different kinds of beers).
Overnight in Panevėžys.
Day 2: In the morning there will be a trip to the mountain of crosses under Šiauliai, then moving to Tauragė, on the way to Tytuvėnai with the team of Bernardine monastery, Szydłów- also know as Samogitian Lourdes, the most famous Marian shrine in Lithuania, Billewicze- In Sienkiewicz “The Deluge”, a property of a sword fighter Thomas Billewicz. Billewicz gave shelter to Olenka Billewiczównie after leaving Vodokty.
In the afternoon, a tour of the castle in Tauragė – headquarters of Birji Boguslaw Radziwill from Biržai. Henryk Sienkiewicz repeatedly brings his characters of Deluge to Tauragė. Here in his palace Boguslaw Radziwill had imprisoned Olenka Billewiczowna. Overnight in Vilnius.
Day 3: Visiting Vilnius. Walk through the streets of Vilnius old town. Cathedral Square, Cathedral and also Chapel of St. Casimir underground. Visiting the Bernardine Monastery, St. Anne’s church, Bernadine alley, museum of Adam Mickiewicz. Moving on to the House of Juliusz Słowacki, Presidential Palace, University of Stephen Báthory with a tour of the observatory and Smuglewicz room.

Day 4: Morning with a panoramic view of Vilnius from the hill of Three crosses or from the observation tower of the upper castle. Rossie Cemetery, St. Peter’s and Paul’s church.
A travel to Trakai. Visiting the castle on the island where dukes of Lithuania were residing. A Walk by the lake Galve (there is the possibility of boat trips), kenesa (Karaite synagogue), street of Karaites.
